At regional tournaments, the most talented artists in all of Asia plunged into an all-out artistic war, and now only 8 phenomenal creators remain.

The best of the best – the 1st and 2nd place winners of the LIMITS Asian Championship Regionals in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan will finally meet face to face in Tokyo for the exciting finale.

There can only be one winner. With artistic pride and glory on the line, who can defy all odds and push beyond all limits to become the LIMITS 2022 Asian Grand Champion?

TAIWAN CHAMPION

Prolific freelance illustrator with his own brand called “Cookie Funk”. Along with sharing his creations and illustrations on various social media channels, he produces video tutorials aiming to teach in a clear and enjoyable way.

Jaba

SINGAPORE CHAMPION

Didier Jaba Matthieu, AKA Jaba, has taken part in a Limits World Series Championship before, back in 2019. This Limits veteran describes his work as futuristic abstract math, alphabetical constructivism and facial cubism, brutally refined.

Oh Mankee

HONG KONG CHAMPION

Graduated with honors in product & industrial design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With characters like Hoko the tricolor cat, she aspires to create infectious works that deliver warmth to her audience around the world.

Daniel Suzuki

JAPAN CHAMPION

Daniel is a half-Japanese, half-Polish artist born and raised in Izu, Japan. Daniel began his career in 2018 with a solo exhibition in Ginza, and strives to imbue his works with a positive message centering on the theme: "You have the light".

Hiroco Ichinose

JAPAN STAND-IN (TAIWAN RUNNER-UP)

Holding a master's in Media Art from Tokyo Polytechnic University, Hiroco is involved in animation and hosts workshops and live painting. Together with her husband, they form the creative unit, Decovocal.

Inksheperd

SINGAPORE RUNNER-UP

Aaron, AKA Inkshepherd, is a long time gamer – kicking ass since the 1980’s. He is a passionate artist who loves to design fantasy worlds. His career as a game art director has taken him across the globe, most notably to Japan and Taiwan.

Rosine Wo

HONG KONG RUNNER-UP

Rosine is a freelance illustrator, mainly working with Procreate. She likes to utilize crisp lines and space to depict extraordinary moments in ordinary life. The human body and insect elements are always present in her works.

JAPAN CHAMPION

LIMITS World Grand Prix 2019 Runner-up. His weapons are his Adobe Illustrator skills and fiercely unique style. He has done artwork for brands like TEKKEN, B-SIDE LABEL and has performed live all over the world.

Winner of DLP-BATTLE, the predecessor of LIMITS, he has worked extensively as an illustrator in Japan and abroad.

Tamaki Yasunori

Executive Producer at KADOKAWA, Editor-in-chief at LOVE Walker and visiting researcher at International University of Japan.

Jason Scuderi

Lasergun Factory (J. Scuderi) is a Digital/Crypto Artist based in Japan. A former Creative/Art Director in NYC, he has worked with a plethora of global brands.

Mariko Nishimura

Founder of HEART CATCH Inc., Professor at Musashino Art University and fellow of the Japan Innovation Network, she connects business, creativity and technologies across borders.
